All calculations run in your browser with no server calls. Your loan amount, interest rate and personal details are never uploaded, and the tool works offline once loaded.
Your monthly payment uses the standard amortization formula M = P·r·(1+r)ⁿ / ((1+r)ⁿ − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual APR ÷ 12), and n is the number of monthly payments (years × 12). For zero-interest loans, the payment is simply principal divided by months.
This works for any standard amortized loan: personal loans, auto loans, student loans, business loans, or other installment loans with fixed interest. It does not cover credit cards or lines of credit with variable payments.
The calculator accepts loan terms in years, including fractional values (e.g., 2.5 years = 30 months). Simply divide your desired months by 12 and enter that in the custom term field.
No. All calculations run locally in your browser with no server calls. Your loan amount, interest rate and term are never uploaded, and the tool works offline once loaded.
A smaller loan amount, a lower interest rate, or a longer term all reduce the monthly payment. Keep in mind that a longer term lowers the payment but increases total interest — use the schedule to compare total cost.
